Fitre (Fıtır Sadakası) is a compulsory charity that every Muslim who reaches the end of Ramadan and possesses at least the minimum amount of wealth beyond their basic needs must give. This act of worship is performed with the hope that it will lead to the acceptance of the fasts observed. It also contributes to meeting the needs of the poor, allowing them to benefit from the joy and peace of the holiday. Fitre is one of the most meaningful expressions of sharing, brotherhood and solidarity.
